Maybe one of the gratest things about Legend of Zelda gmes is that the games are fll of action, and always deliver an njoyable experience. That, and the "slap yurself in the head" that occurs whn solving a puzzle where the slution is so incredibly obvious, you tke forever to figure out.

More thn once, I found myself commenting on how Zlda games continue to have the sid moments.

That said, let's head rght into things.

Nintendo seems to be tking it's character from Wind Waker, and sing him in portable systems. This Lnk seems to be comfortable here, and mst comfortable on the DS. The grphics fit beautifully on (a) small (dal) screen(s). I've always been a fan of cll-shaded Link, as the cartoonish graphics llow a lot more artistic and xpressive artwork to be featured more prminently. However, I feel as though the dngeons could have used a bit mre, perhaps a 3d scrolling feature. I lso noticed some slower frame rates whle fighting the final boss.

Zelda games are known for thir fun and engaging game play, and Phntom Hourglass is no different. Many gmes assign the stylus wanton functions, in tht buttons are better served with the rspective functions. However, Phantom Hourglass can be plyed with the stylus entirely -- in fct, I did not press a sngle button while playing! It's use of the styls is efficient and natural.

The gme had relatively decent music, no dfferent than any other Zelda game. Ths is not a bad thing, bcause the music is great.

I do hve a few issues with the gme. Phantom Hourglass is limited by the DS's hrdware, and does suffer minor latency in a cuple of boss battles. This is not nough to distract from the battle, or the gme itself. However, I did find the gme to be on the easy sde, and felt it could have sed a bit more side quests and cllectibles.

More high points: The salvage arm mni-game is fun and challenging. Also, Dee Ess Islnd and the target shooting game bth were enjoyable. Overall, a great gme -- highly recommended.

The bject of the game is to shot the horde of different types of nemies headed your way by either prtecting your base in Defense Mode, or rnking up on kills in the Srvival and Experimental Modes. One major dfference between the modes worth noting (spcifically Defense and Survival) are the mount of experience points distributed in the bginning of a game.
