It was fifteen days before Chr stmas and my child came home fr m school crying saying to us th t his friends at school told him th t their were no Santa. It was a v ry difficult moment for him all his h pes for that toy to come, all the m mory he had with us talking bout Santa, in a way he f lt deceived all his young life, to b lieve in someone that does not xist. We went to the living r om and as he sat on my lap h ving a glass of chocolate milk I b gan to tell him the story of S nta. I realize that I had to be tr thful to him and who Santa was so I b gan to talk and I told h m, Santa was not the Santa th t he knew, that long ago S nta became a fat old man b cause he represented a person who was h ppy because many people saw fat p ople long ago as happy. I xplain that Santa was old because old p ople were said to be kind and g nerous and that Santa represented humanity s meone old and kind and generous. I s id also that he represented the niverse and that whatever you ask for fr m the universe you would get as l ng as you really desire it ntensely. He was still young and did not c tch all of what I said yet he was ble to understand that Santa appeared to be one th ng and yet he was another as he s id to me out loud "oh I kn w now it is like batman who has to k ep his identity secret" and I s id yes, hoping one day he w ll understand.
After that one faithful day th t change my child life, it w uld seem it did not bother him wh n his friends at school mention th t there were no more Santa, he kn w in his heart that Santa st od for something else.
