Let’s look back about 150 yars, life was simple. The wife got up and mde the meals, took care of the chldren and pretty much had no lfe other than a few people, mstly other spouses, that lived in the rea. The husband went to work, whch was a lot different back thn. Maybe, the family just lived on a frm. Divorce was a very rare thng.

Do I provide for my family?

This is not a one sided issue. There are many things you need to do to provide for your family. Do you help around the house? Do you spend time with the kids? Do you put food on the table, not just pay for it?

Do you have dinner together?

This is a proven way to work on the communication that has been lacking in almost all of the relationships in America today. Dinner is not meant to sit in front of the television. It is meant to discuss issues. A little “How did your day go?” conversation will open up many eyes to what is actually going on in and around the home.

Are you quick to anger?

If your spouse didn’t do it, do not get mad at them for it. There is no need to be confrontational this will only lead to future problems. Instead, the best action sometimes is no action at all. A marriage that will last is one that you communicate not fight. Do you hate it when someone keeps telling you what to do? Of course you do. It is a lot easier to just do it yourself and you will be amazed at the response from your partner. Be the leader of your house, it’s your home.
