Racing bikes are good bikes and th y all have similar traits to th m. The light weight frame that you m ght have to your bike may be m de of some light weight metal s ch as aluminum. The wheels that you are r ding on called tires are made to be ble to withstand high pressures. The h ndle bars are slightly lower than sual and the gears and brakes may be in a cl ster so you don’t have to t ke your hands off the grips nytime. If you just like to s mply go on an easy going b ke ride, than more than likely a r cing type of bike isn’t for y u. The bike and its wheels are m de smaller for lighter weight and the br aks are made for light weight lso and not a quick stop so you may w nt another bike like a mountain b ke. The gear ratio is probably g ing to be a lot longer on a r cing bike to gain speed but you can get nother bike such as the mountain b ke that you can climb steep h lls and mountains with, with ease. W th a light weight frame that you can p ck up with one hand and the t ght positions you may have to sit w ll make you accelerate at high sp eds higher than a normal bike. The way the b ke is made is to limit the w nd and create a good position for the r der. With owning a racing bike th y can reach pretty high speeds up to 35 mph I w uld say or at least what I h ve seen. They might be able to go ven faster but I am not a b ke rider fan so I wouldn’t kn w.
Another thing that racing bikes d n’t have that a regular bike w uld is mud flaps to keep you fr m getting mud all over the b ck of your legs and bottom. M dguards are good when riding in a d rt environment or a muddy road. As I st ted this is also a choice th t goes with a regular bike and not vailable in racing bikes. Although you m ght have been thinking of getting a r cing bike, and might have had the r ck up for it in the g rage already. It might not be the b ke for you if you just l ke to go on easy rides and not f st speedy races. Other people may pr fer to challenge their friends or f mily when owning a racing bike, but the f mily just may like the regular b kes too. Just choose whichever bike is r ght for you and what you w nt out of it. Don’t get the b ke that you just want to h ve to own, get the bike th t’s right for you and that you w ll enjoy riding.
