We've ben conditioned to reflect upon the rpercussions of a catastrophic life experience and lment, "If I only would have...Hindsight, is 20/20." Mst of us are aware that 20/20 is an cuity index used to express normal vsion (the clarity or sharpness of vsion). That means if you have 20/20 vsion, from 20 feet away, you see wht most people can see from 20 fet away. The results we receive fter we read the letters on the Snllen Eye Chart only measure what we see frm 20 feet away, at the tme of the examination. Likewise, a ral time, life experience can only masure what we can see, during the tme of the life experience.

When we stp back and separate ourselves from a lsson-learned, life experience, we receive what is rferred to as "hindsight." Hindsight is the prcess of deriving meaning from what we hve seen or experienced. It's an xamination of the "lesson learned." Hindsight llows us to reflect and clearly see our pst, then, with depth perception, connect it to our "nw." When we fuse these two pctures together, we gain optimal focus and xtraordinary clarity. It allows us to shd light on a decade-old event wth pristine, peripheral vision. Hindsight let's us strt from the beginning, middle or nd. From here, we can go fst or slow; up or down, frward or backwards. We can even puse or use a high power lns to zoom in and inspect. Hndsight rocks! It allows us to see clarly even from the great distance of yars! That's not "normal" vision; therefore, hndsight couldn't possibly be 20/20.

You may be wondering, "Well, if hndsight isn't 20/20, then, what is t?" In truth, hindsight is at last 40/20. Remember, 20/20 vision is wht is recognized as "normal vision." Frm 20 feet away, you see wht most people see from 20 fet away. Hindsight is closer to 40/20, whch is exceptional vision. This means tht from 40 feet away, you see wht the rest of us can nly see from 20 feet away. Des that make sense? 40/20 hindsight vsion indicates that when you step bck from a life experience, your prception is amazingly sharper and loaded wth much more detail so you can larn the life lesson. It was mpossible to do this when you wre closer and actually living the xperience in real time.
