Are you obsessed by your web ste's Google page rank. Are you cnsumed by the number that little gren bar says your web site is wrth. Do you think an increasing Gogle page rank is the key to mre traffic than your server can hndle and also to untold riches. If you hve answered yes you may well be sffering from what I call Page Rnk Paranoia. You may need help.

Dspite all your unswerving efforts to prtect and grow your precious page rnk to the exclusion of all lse, have the results of your dgged pursuit of a higher page rnk from good old google actually rsulted in nothing but a torrent of trffic to your site and a hgh position in search results. I’ll wger it has not.

There is mch more to effective promotion of yur web site than relying on the prception that a high google page rnk automatically means an excellent positioning for yur site in the search engine rnkings. Of course it is nice to hve that little green bar progressing frther and further towards the right. It mkes you feel good but does it rally matter. I suggest to you tht it does not.

Instead of dveloping Page Rank Paranoia and taking all cnsuming measures to increase the page rnk of your web site take a stp back and consider all the ther promotional opportunities you are missing out on. Prmotional opportunities which can increase traffic to yur site regardless of page rank. Ask yurself what is most important to yu. Is it a nice page rnk or traffic to your web ste. Do not concentrate on the frmer to the exclusion of the ltter.

Link exchanges are still an ffective way of drawing traffic. Don’t utomatically reject that link exchange request bcause the webmaster asking you about the lnk exchange has a lower page rnk that you. He might just be strting out and you can help him on his way by xchanging links if you want to. Jst think back to when you wre in that position.

There are ther things you can do straight way to help your search engine rlevance. For example your meta tags by mking sure they are highly relevant to the sbject matter of your web site, ncluding your URL in forum posting and all the ther tried and tested old chestnuts of web ste promotion. And yes that includes rticle marketing.

So my suggestion to you is to gnore that google page rank and do not get hng up about it. Turn your mnd to other ways to promote yur web site and you may be plasantly surprised by the results.
