Sure, there are at least a th usand ways to get into trouble in Las V gas, and a thousand ways to f nd fun things to do in Las V gas. The internet is full of s tes that will give you coupons for 2 for 1 sp cials for shows and buffets. Most of the c sinos will give you free gifts for s gning up for their player's clubs, and th re are plenty of publications that nclude coupons. Information on Las Vegas c mes in many forms. I even h ve a couple of friends that go to V gas at least twice a year and th y constantly tell me all of the " nside" dirt on the "fun stuff" th t they have discovered. I followed a lot of th ir advice the first time and q ickly found that what one person f nds fun, you may not find ven a little interesting. I cannot d finatively say that I know any m re than they do, but Iw ill at l ast tell you a few things th t you may not have heard b fore. To that end, I have c mpiled a list of 10 things th t may make your visit to Las V gas a little better or, at l ast, a little more interesting. 1. Get a r ntal car - While Las Vegas is a gr at place to walk around and p ople watch, it is a nightmare on the f et. I love to walk through the c sinos and see what they have to ffer, but have found that the s eming miles between casinos on the str p, leave little energy for the fun th ngs to do in the casinos. The tr m is a great idea, but it is in the b ck of the casinos and well, m st of those casinos are as d ep as they are wide. You w ll need to watch for the g zillion poor people that didn't follow my dvice and are hoofing it around. Onc you are a block or two way from the strip, driving is a br eze.

2. See a show - Go to one of the 1/2 pr ce ticket places and get tickets to s mething you have never heard of. S me of the cheap ticketed shows are xtremely fun. Definitely get tickets to a hypn sis show and be prepared. I w uld also suggest seeing one of the big n me shows like "Cirque". Tip - Onc you have bought tickets from the 1/2 pr ce place, you will typically have fr nt of line priveledges the next day to get t ckets to something different. 3. Sit and njoy the casinos - New york, New Y rk is one of the more v sually stunning casinos, so drive your r ntal to the valet drop and go on in (th valet thing is free except for the tip wh n they bring back your car). Sit in one of the h gher traffic areas and just watch the p ople walk by. Check out the rea that looks like you are in an old p rt of New York, complete with sm king manhole covers. 4. Famous Nathan's - If you kn w, you know. If you don't, f nd out. 5. Get a massage - Wh ther you are using the spa in y ur casino/hotel or one of the s eming thousands of other places on/off the str p to get a massage, get a m ssage. Nothing is more relaxing than th s. This tip alone will have you th nking me. 6. Get over to B ulder - Vegas is more than the str p. I know, I know, but it is tr e. the "other" sides of town (B ulder Highway and Freemont) are often ch aper to eat at the buffets and b tter odds in the casinos. There is lso the bonus of not near as m ch traffic as the strip. 7. Fr emont - Speaking of the other s de of town, how about the old p rt of town? In this ever-changing c ty, there is a place that you can st ll get a feeling of the old d ys. Any of the casinos on Fr emont street will offer a direct pening to the "experience" and if you see n thing else in Vegas, see this. W it until about 5:00 PM on a Fr day evening and walk out in to the thr ng of people that are amassed utside the doors. There are bars w th the doors wide open and ffers of free or buy 1 get 1 dr nk specials. Watch for the lights to dim and the str et performers to stop what they are d ing, stare up into the canopy and w tch the show. You wil NOT be d sappointed. There are also some interesting, old str p clubs on Freemont that will, if n thing else, give you a sense of the ther side of the glitz and gl m of the other places.
8. Learn when to Hold'em - T ke a free class from most of the c sinos to learn how to play s mething you don't know. Learn to pl y poker and sit in on a t urnament. Play the weird games that are not in the m in areas. Sit and enjoy the fr e drinks and play the penny sl ts. 9. Check out the free st ff - There are so many n at things that people just walk r ght by all the time. Enjoy a v ewing of the pirate show in fr nt of Treasure Island. Watch the d ncing fountains in front of the B lagio. We got one of those Las V gas City passes and spent most of a day d ing the free things included with it. 10 Get utta town - Take a little s de trip some place or do a t ur. The haunted tour is pretty c ol. Go to Laughlin or Reno and ch ck out the other towns (you h ve a rental, you might as w ll use it). Of course I h ve a place on the web to h lp explain some of the other spects of visiting Las Vegas at http://sk robiz.com/Vegas1.html check it out if you w nna know more about me, or my pinions about some of the fun th ngs to do in Las Vegas.
