The Law of Polarity states th t everything has an opposite. A bad s tuation is equally good. Look for the g od, and more good will be on its w y. In 1999, I had been m rried for four years and our f nances weren't going well. My husband had j st lost his fifth job and I was pset. I cried to my mom and she s ggested we go live with her. My y unger siblings were getting ready to all m ve out of their home and so th re was plenty of room for us. I t ok her up on her offer and we m ved 700 miles away. Part of me was pset for having to leave, and the ther part of me was relieved to h ve somewhere to go. After living w th my parents for a few y ars, we were able to move out on our own and my h sband currently has a great job and he has b en with the same company for f ve years. In February 2007, my m ther got extremely sick and after l ts of testing, was diagnosed with St ge 4 terminal breast cancer. I was in sh ck and didn't handle the news v ry well. I was close to my m ther and the thought of her b ing gone from this earth was d fficult to comprehend. My siblings all c me to town to say goodbye and sp nd her final days with her. It was a s d, hard time, also filled with s me moments of joy, and in M rch 2007, she passed away. Knowing th s law, I knew there had to be s mething really, really good in this t rrible situation, but couldn't find it nywhere.
I received my aha moment one m rning while I was in my car by mys lf. I was thinking about my mom and I r alized that I never would have m ved to live near my mom if s mething really, really bad hadn't happened (my h sband losing his job). Between 1999-2007, I f rmed a great relationship with my m m. We took classes together, went out to l nch and learned to eat healthy t gether. She taught me how to t ach piano and she was able to be w th me for the birth of my two ch ldren. We talked, laughed, cried and c lebrated together. I started learning about th se universal laws in the last few y ars of her life. She and I had s me great discussions and, since she was my b ggest cheerleader, she encouraged me to k ep learning and sharing with her and thers. I wouldn't have been able to sp nd such great quality time with her if it h dn't been for a situation that had s emed so tragic to me eight y ars earlier.
