A very famous person has d fined faith as a state of m nd which can be induced or cr ated through repeated affirmations or instructions to the subconscious mind through the principle of autosuggestion. Another definition or description of faith, which is given in the Bible is “faith is that which comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.” An analysis of both definitions will find one common denominator. They both refer to, or imply that in order for one to have faith, that person must continue to do something. i.e. it is a continuous process: “ repeated affirmations or instructions,” and “comes by hearing .” Note that the statement said “comes by hearing,” it didn’t say “when you hear.” When the bible says to hear and continuously hear the word of God, that corresponds to the other definition of faith that says to repeatedly affirm or instruct your subconscious mind. Both definitions also show or imply the role the individual plays in having faith. You (and no one else) are the one who must continuously hear, so also you are the one who must repeatedly instruct your subconscious mind. You will probably wonder what the connection faith has with the subconscious mind. It is this; when you have faith, you are simply making use of your subconscious mind, and when you are using your subconscious mind, you are having faith. It is that simple. They are both inter-connected, and one cannot exist without the other.
To further expantiate on the b ble definition, when the bible tells us to h ar the word of God, the perative and important instruction there is the hearing part. The “word of God part” is secondary. The ‘hearing the word’ is a another way of telling us that the work of having faith and getting what we want takes place inside us, and not necessarily in a church or mosque or holy place. When our ears continuously hears what we want and need, the God inside of us will give us that thing. This ultimately leads us to wonder what or where that “God” in us resides. Well that God within each and every human being resides in our subconscious mind. This is the correlation between faith (the God within) and the subconscious mind (where the God within resides) So where does this all lead to and tell us? It shows us the importance our subconscious minds play in our lives, and how if we use it properly, we can and will have all the good things of life, as well as keep away most of the bad things.
