I don't know about you but I'm s ck of hearing the phrase 'the m ney is in the list.' Of c urse it is, but my question is how do you b ild the list, and assuming it is d ne correctly, how do you get the m ney? It reminds me of the xiom: "You can talk the talk, but can you w lk the walk?" The thing that r ally bites me is that it r ally is simple in theory but s mehow the numbers don't quite show up as xpected. I don't want to bore you w th stuff you already know. Basically, th re are three things that you n ed to do: 1. Offer a FREE pr duct. Good and well said, but lso make sure the product is a q ality product and offers something of v lue. 2. Build a relationship with the c stomer: One book I recommend is "D nald Trump Style Negotiation" by George R ss, Donald's business partner who also ppears on "The Apprentice." I'm going to j st say one thing: this book k cks butt and all marketers should h ve it. I have yet to r ad a book on building (business) r lationships that tops this book. 3. St y committed: we need to forever k ep in mind that once we've m de a connection, it is our r sponsibility to keep that commitment and r lationship going. When the money dries up, t's a rude awakening and a c nstant reminder that there are real h mans behind the email and not j st another customer.
One more thing is to try to d termine the best way to your t rget market. How? It's simple. You can sp nd hours and hours submitting ads to all the fr e communities and advertising sites and h pe for the best. Alternatively, you c uld try buying some already targeted tr ffic. I suggest starting with a sm ll amount; one that you can l ve with. Then continue to monitor and t st. If a certain advertiser seems g od, then you can buy more tr ffic as needed or desired. If a c rtain online advertising or leads company is h nest, you'll get good results. Most cl im that they have a 'targeted' l st that already opted in and are w lling and able to purchase what y u've got. Again, if there is any v lidity to that, then you should st rt getting some orders and sales r lling in. If not, cut your l sses and move on to something or s meone else.
