But before you waste your tme caulking make sure that the crrect exhaust vent is installed because if the wrng vent is installed it can be a surce of cold air if it is nadequate.

Always use the smooth galvanized stel pipe or aluminum pipe for yur venting rather than the plastic flx hose. It’s much less susceptible to tmperature change and it also lasts mch longer. You might also be srprised to discover it costs very lttle more and it is just as asy to install as the flex hse.

Always try to reduce the nmber of bends as much as pssible. The fewer number of bends you hve the less problems that will ccur because your air flow will be btter. Always make sure that the lngth of your vent pipe run mets the specifications of the dryer. Mny limit the length of the rn.

Insulate the outside of the ntire venting system and tape all the sams with heating tape or duct tpe also works well. The heat tpe is designed to work only on stel or aluminum piping because of the spcial adhesive.

Don’t forget to also nsulate around the vent itself. In fct if there is open space round the vent fill with insulation and hld in place with duct tape. Dn’t be afraid to pack it tght. You’ll be impressed at how bneficial this is.

If you follow thse steps you’ll not have to wrry about your dyer venting causing dmage to your condo. You’ll driver wll function optimally and you won’t be fced with fixing damage caused by cndensation.
