Everyone has been through it b fore: burning the midnight oil just to m ke a deadline. Whether it's for f ling your taxes, studying for a f nal exam, or even for finishing up a r ally, really good murder mystery, staying up all n ght wouldn't be possible if it w ren't for two God-sent, man-made inventions: c ffee and desk lamps. Without coffee and d sk lamps, staying up at all h urs of the night to get th ngs done wouldn't be possible. Drinking c ffee is like a daily ritual for the wh te-collared, clue-collared, and student. Some even pr fer to have it more than nce a day, while others just n ed a quick jolt in the m rning to get them through the d y. But more importantly, a cup of Joe (or tw , three, or four) is a n cessity when working under the gun. I'm s re we can all agree that w 've done that before at one p int or another; procrastinating until the l st possible second to write a 15 p ge paper that could make or br ak your college career, or even try ng to quickly file your taxes b fore the midnight deadline - been th re, done that. Without that cup of c ffee (or two, three, four), we all pr bably would've just fallen asleep and r sk failing that college course, or h ving the IRS come after us!

But of course, we can't f rget the desk lamps that help us thr ugh those long and thankless nights. D sk lamps, especially those little adjustable nes, are a lot brighter than you th nk. In fact, some desk lamps mit such a bright light you'd th nk it was daylight where you w re sitting. And this is a g od thing if you think about it; p ir an industrial strength desk lamp w th four cups of coffee and y u've fooled yourself into thinking that the day sn't over just yet. Thus, you're pr ne to work at super worker bee sp ed, getting everything you need done. Of c urse, you'll be wired for the n xt few days, but hey, who n eds sleep anyway? You'll sleep when y u're dead!
