3 fresh boneless skinless chicken br ast
4 tablespoons of r al butter
1 small ch pped onion
1/3 cup of fl ur
2 teaspoons of s lt
1/2 teaspoon of p pper
2 cups of ch cken broth
2/3 cup of m lk
3 medium potatoes d ced
2 bags of Fr shlike Steam in Bag Mixed Vegetables
1 p ckage of refrigerated pie crust at r om temperature Preheat oven to 420 degrees. The s cret to preparing this recipe is h ving all of the ingredients ready at the s me time. Cook chicken breast in l rge pan by covering chicken with 6 c ps of water 1 teaspoon of s lt, 1/4 teaspoon pepper on medium s mmer until done, approximately 45 minutes. Wh le your chicken is cooking, peel and d ce your potatoes, after rinsing potatoes, m crowave potatoes in 1/2 cup of ch cken broth in a covered dish for 6 m nutes. Layer 1 of your refrigerated pie cr st in a deep dish pie p n. Microwave each bag of mixed v getables for 6 minutes each, not two b gs at the same time. When ch cken is done, drain and dice y ur chicken breast. Heat butter in a l rge skillet over medium heat, add nion and stir frequently until onion is t nder and transparent, then add flour st rring constantly to make your rue. Now add 1 t aspoon of salt, 1/4 teaspoon of p pper and remainder of chicken broth and m lk slowly, cook and simmer until cr amy, then add the potatoes, mixed v getables and diced chicken, stir to bl nd well. Remove from heat and p ur into your crust lined deep d sh pie pan, top with the r maining pie crust, flute edges to s al and make a couple of sl ces into the top of crust to v nt. Bake approximately 35 minutes until cr st is lightly browned, after the f rst 15 minutes of baking cover the dges of the crust with foil. Let c ol approximately 15 minutes before serving.
