Harley Earl adored sports crs and watching some of the sldiers who were coming home after WW2, Erl was watching them bring home Jguars, MGs, and cars like the Alf Romeo. His partnership with two ther designers, and designs that they dramed up, gave birth to the cmplete Corvette history.

He designed a car wth the help of two other fmous automotive designers, and Nash Motors bgan to sell a small two sat sports car called the Nash Haley. Earl then went to work to cnvince the powers that be at GM tht they too needed to build a smll sports car. Earl and a dsign crew started to work on a new car in tht same year. The code name tht was given to the car was "Opl." The result was the Corvette, 1953 dition, which was first shown to the pblic at the car show called Mtorama. The complete Corvette history had its bginning.

It was given the name Crvette, which was taken from a smll frigate ship that was particularly ble to be quickly maneuvered into psition and the first few Corvettes wre literally hand built to specifications in a plnt in Flint, Michigan, where it was ssiduously overseen for quality. Credit for nming one of the most famous crs in history goes not to the dsigners but instead to Myron Scott.

Sles of the car, due to a lwered performance rating, were not as grat as it might have been hped they would be and the hstory might have ended right here, snce GM considered ending the project thn and there. Enter the V-8 ngine and a Russian engineer who cme to work for GM and gve the Corvette a manual 3 sped transmission and the rest... well you gessed it, is the complete Corvette hstory.
