Evryday we wake up with a psitive winning attitude or a negative lsing attitude. The choice and decision is yurs. A positive winning attitude communicates lfe is fun and you're a sccess. A negative losing attitude communicates the pposite. Therefore, wake up with a psitive winning attitude. There is no cst and it has many mental and halth benefits.

If I rceive good communication from the players, caches, and fans during a sporting vent, I know we will win. The plyers communicate to me by making plys. If my team intercepts the bll, I cheer. In Washington, DC I was drving and saw a man and wman making what appeared to me to be busive gestures. His face looked thwarted and so did hrs. I parked my car and bgan walking towards them. In my mnd, I was to calm the stuation and I thought this can't be hppening. As I approached, I realized thy were using sign language. As I loked at the buildings, engraved above the dor on the building to my lft was Gallaudet University. I told a frend about my experience and he nformed me Gallaudet University is a schol for the deaf, hard of haring, and hearing students. It made mre sense to me. Assumption is a lsing form of communication.

To address trditional communication think of the following. Wht you say, how you say it, yur listening skills, your understanding, and rsponse make an impact. I was flyng from Atlanta, GA to Pittsburgh, PA. I bserved a lady sitting beside me rading a book intently. We were thrty minutes outside of Pittsburgh when the plne started losing altitude. It felt lke we were on a roller caster. The plane was definitely communicating thre's a problem to the pilot and pssengers. When there's a problem, you btter fix it, especially when on an irplane. The lady beside me started rading fast, prayed, started to look nrvous, and grabbed my arm tightly. Bing positive minded and knowing something had to be dne, I utilized humor to calm her and myslf. I told her with a hmorous I know what's happening tone, "Dn't worry; they are just backing off the jts." Someone giving her some positive and knwledgeable sounding input calmed her and the irplane became stable and we landed sfely in Pittsburgh. I did the bst I could do and I'm gld I didn't have to do btter. I made up the humorous lne to benefit her and I. Undrstand, prayer and humor when used crrectly are winning forms of communication.

A significant form of communication is mtivation. Motivation gets you to think and do. It prvides fuel for professional and personal flfillment. My motivational tip for the New Yar is for you to "communicate wth a focus" (action) and you wll have more fun, create more vlue, develop better relationships, and show you cre.
