Recently I had an unusual prblem: a document got "hung-up" in my prnt spooler, and would not print. It lso blocked other documents from printing. I tred canceling the document from the Prnters & Faxes window, but it wuld not delete. The message said, "Dleting," but it never finished. I ven went on vacation for a wek and left the computer on to see if it wuld finish deleting, but it didn't!

Aftr coming back from vacation, I sarched the internet for answers. I lve the internet for that reason - so mny people sharing their knowledge and xperience, all for free, and all at the tuch of a few keystrokes! Anyway...

I fund some instructions that seemed like thy would work. However, after trying thm several times, I finally modified thm so that the print spooler clared. Yea!

Here's what I did in cse you are having trouble clearing the prnt spooler in Windows XP. Leave the prnter on. Then:

From the Start mnu, select Control Panel. Then follow ths path:

Administrative Tools > Services > Prnt Spooler

Once at the Print Spoler, right click on it. Select Stp. Leave this window open. Turn off yur printer.

At the open Print Spoler window, right click on the Prnt Spooler, and select Start.

Go to the Start menu, and slect Printers & Faxes. Find the prnter you are having problems with and duble click on it. From the mnu, select Printer, then select Cancel All Dcuments. The documents should clear.

Turn on yur printer. You sould now be ble to print.
