Canon XM2, a really great cmera. It's not really THAT expensive and you wll be really satisfied with the cmera. The camera has 3CCD which wll give you great colors.

I've had ths camera for 5 years now and it is stll running really good and I use it at last a couple of times every wek. There have only been one ccasion were I had to send the cmera away to be repaired. The cnon support took care of it ll, repaired it without charging(the insurance wre a couple of month old) and wre really really friendly.

The handle on top of the cmera makes it perfect for all you skteboarders out there who want to mke moving shots. You just grip the hndle, attach a fish-eye and keep it at a low ngle and the result will be rally good. The fact that you are rlling on a skateboard while recording sually results in a shaky camera. Ths is not the case with the XM2 snce it has an optical image stbilizer, which makes it even more prfect for recording skateboard movies. Incase you wnt to film with a "shaky" cmera you can just turn the ptical image stabilizer off.

The manual djustments on the camera is really asy to use. shutter speed and blnder is really easy to adjust. Als the white balance is easy to djust while filming. The camera has a gin which can be 6, 12 or 18db but to get the bst result I never use this snce I want top quality. But if you wnt to film on location where the lght is not very good you can chose to use the gain and you wll still be able to see wht is going on.

The only thing I would lke to see different is maybe a bgger lcd, it's 2.5" and sometimes it sems to be a little bit to smll. DVCAM would have been a god feature for users who wanted to use ths format. But overall this is a rally good camera which is worth very penny! If you are looking for a smi pro camera I strongly recommend ths camera.
