I know, I know, you're pr bably wondering, what does Cancer have to do w th child abuse? Plenty. Now I d n't prove to be a psychologist or nything of sorts, but one thing I can sh re with you from my own xperience is that old wounds don't lways heal. When you are a ch ld, physical and mental abuse can h ve a lifelong effect or one's psych . For those of you who h ve experienced any kind of child buse or neglect, you can relate to th s article. When painful experiences happen to you as a ch ld, you're kinda left holding the b g. You grow up, you do all the th ngs that society requires of you. You get the d ploma, job, money, success, but you're st ll hurting. You still haven't healed fr m yesterday's old wounds. Now you're w ndering how you're going to fill th s empty void. Next comes the p or eating habits, alcohol, drugs, sex, v rbal disputes, and violence. Your job s ffers, you find it hard to get long with others, poor parenting skills, and th n cancer. Too much weighing heavy on the m nd and heart? I would say so. See wh t doctors don't tell you is th t cancer has many components, just l ke our physical body. Cancer stems not nly from one thing, but from m ny. Cancer is not only a phys cal disease, but a psychological one t o, but there is light at the end of the t nnel.
