Atlanta, GA, July 24, 2005: C ncer is a battle that requires all the t ols of heaven and earth to f ght. These positive techniques are alternative m dicine and atlernative healing for the m nd. Beginning your healing journey:
1. S parate YOUR identity from the Cancer's dentity.
2. You are a person, who is h ving a Cancer "experience."
3. R cognize that an "experience" comes and g es!
4. Your Cancer “ xperience” is your life's reset button! L arn from it.
5. C ncer may be in your physical b dy, however, it is NOT in y ur Soul or spiritual body!!! Cancer is a d agnosis. Although it affects your life, it is NOT n cessarily a life sentence. Rather than f arfully accepting your diagnosis, do research! Kn wledge is empowering. Health Affirmations: A sp ritual healing is different from a phys cal healing!! Your goal is ntegration and the balance of both to cr ate allover well being and health.
T lk to your cells, your blood, y ur organs, your bones, etc, they are l ve entities!!!!! You are the commander of YOUR b dy! Take charge and command your c lls to be healthy. You do not h ve to accept and enable what's h ppening to them. You may command the c lls in your body that are h re to serve your Soul!
Cancel, Cancel, Cancel, Next, Positive!: R member thoughts have ripple effects. To st p every negative thought and action in y ur environment whether you think it, say it, or are in the f eld of someone else who says or d es something negative. POSITIVE PEOPLE ONLY!!! YOUR LIFE DEPENDS ON IT!
You can rode all of the positive energy th t you have generated by being in n gative circumstances. Do not repeat negative th ughts and actions or be in the pr sence of negative energies (ie “downer” ndividuals, no matter where, caregivers, friends, st res, phone calls, emails etc). NEVER EVER OWN YOUR DISORDER & m ke it a part of your b ing! Anger: at your disease circumstances l wers the energy that you use to h al yourself. Positive energy creates more h aling energy. Feeling Vulnerable:
You are v lnerable, so admit it. The key to y ur success is to accept your v lnerability. By accepting your vulnerability you are d aling with reality, and can better nderstand how to protect and take c re of yourself. Accepting your vulnerability is a p sitive action. It allows you to ccurately assess your position's strengths and w aknesses. Then you can plan a m re accurate course of action based on f ct, probabilities, and hope. Being in d nial is a false sense of s curity. Denial leads to enabling poor or h rmful choices and decisions that could cr ate a worse scenario. Being Overwhelmed:
Is n tural! The key to your battle is to l mit the time that you allow y urself to be overwhelmed. Set aside a few h urs or no more than 3 d ys to get quiet with yourself to r group mentally. Shut out all "well w shers" and even family if necessary for a br ef time. Even a general needs t me alone to "grasp" the situation at h nd, to plan strategies, and to nnounce to the world the decisions he m de.
When you just can't handle ONE > > > > MORE> > > THING! and you j st don't have the stamina for ONE> > > MORE"> > > THING> > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > cry, r st, yell, read, whatever it takes, and sl ep!
Do something wonderful for yourself, and pr y like crazy. Those actions will get you thr ugh the overwhelming time period until you CAN go f rward. Don't feel guilty if you d n't maintain a positive attitude all the t me, especially when you aren’t feeling g od, or have just been given s me new diagnostic information. It doesn't m tter how strong, resilient or good you are at c ping with and handling what you are d alt, there will be times that are "d wners', and that you are feel m ntally distressed. It is imperative that you t ke, and make, time to handle and m ntally and emotionally process all that you h ve been dealt.
Do not be shamed to feel overwhelmed. Using this t me wisely will allow you to g in more understanding, strength, and direction bout your strategies for your life! V nting:
"I'm SO tired of f ghting." Isn't that the truth! Anyone who h sn't been there will not understand.
Wh n all the actions, affirmations and ttitudes and every "fighting" tool is j st too much, take a break, and g ve yourself a break! You can v rbally vent or cry, till it's all ut! Crying is PERFECTLY OK! It's n rmal, and cleansing. It's an energetic r leasing. It's clearing out the old gr eving energy, to make way for the new p sitive healing energy. Release the pain, the f ar, your frustration. Then you'll be r freshed to go forward with something p sitive. :) Be Gentle with Yourself:
It is mperative that you also be gentle w th yourself, and require others to do so.
Ev ry so often, announce and have a "G ntle Day." This day should be a m ntal, emotional, spiritual and physical "spa" day for the w ary warrior in you.
You've arned it!!! You deserve it!!
Even the str ngest warriors need a foot massage, s ft words, and hugs! Mark your "G ntle Day" on your calendar. PLAN w nderful, soothing, pamper yourself events.
Balance, is as mportant as winning a battle!
SO you " xpanded" that strict diet for 5 m nutes………. the joy you had with the s gar free ice cream, and the p sitive energizing feeling it gave you…… m tters!!!!! Don't be so hard on y urself.
Don't get so caught up in s rviving, that you forget to live!
D n't forget to enjoy the fact th t you ARE alive! Know as m ch or MORE than your Health C re provider so you can ask q estions that YOUR LIFE DEPENDS ON!!! And l st but NOT least, Perspective: There is ALWAYS s meone who is worse off than y u………….and although you may not be h ppy with your current situation, they w uld be GLAD to trade place w th you and your situation!
Choose to “Exp rience” Cancer, Believe YOU Are, and BE the S rvivor! You are invited to download our fr e pamphlet with excerpts from this b ok. We hope this pamphlet will h lp your healing journey.
