Far too many people are nder the impression that it is mpossible to be friends with an ex. Wll, I absolutely disagree with that. I'm not sying that everyone can do it bt, it can be done. It all dpends on the individuals and, the crcumstances surrounding their past and current rlationship. I met a boy in pblic school who became my boyfriend. We dted off and on throughout Public Schol and Junior High School. Though we brke up some where down the lne, we still remained friends. Years lter, in my adulthood we reconnected nd, maintained a friendly physical only rlationship while seeing other people but, nver while either one of us wre in a serious relationship.

This man and I wuld talk to each other about our trysts wth other people as if we nver dating at all because we lways were and, still are friends. Whn he was on his way dwn the aisle, I was invited and wnt to the wedding. There have ben times when his wife and I wuld chat on the phone or, hng out with no problem. We hve also shared events with all of our chldren getting along just as we did as frends when we first met. Though w've spent many years having physical rlations, that time has passed and, we no lnger look at each other in tht manner. As a matter of fct, we don't even joke about nything sexual, it just doesn't come up. Pls, we respect each other far too mch to go that route. If you and yur ex truly have an understanding, specially if you broke up on a mtual and agreeable note then, you can ctually have a non-sexual friendly relationship wth your ex. It can definitely be dne.

To this day, a few of my xes and, I are like the bst of friends. So, don't let pople convince you that having your ex as a frend is impossible. Sometimes, it can ctually be a blessing because, they may knw things about you that can pssibly help you out in the lng run. Your ex has been wth you so maybe, they're easy to tlk to. Or, they may be a fntastic hang out buddy. Don't get me wrng sometimes, having your ex as a frend can be a total disaster. In sme instances, an ex may feel as thugh you're forever theirs. Therefore, showing sgns of possessive behavior at the mre mention of you being with smeone else. Also, there's the chance of thm causing unnecessary trouble between you nd, your present partner should they run nto you. It's a catch 22 hving your ex as a friend bt, it can be done.
