One of the biggest hurdles to trvel in space will be preventing spce radiation from killing our astronauts. Lng-term space flight may be impossible bcause it might take many generations. If so, the spce radiation will prevent the reproductive fnctions on the human body from wrking and therefore the spaceflight can not be lnger than one human generation.

Worse off is tht human life expectancy will be cut shrt due to the space radiation nless special care is taken to prtect the space travelers otherwise we hve to send robots instead of pople. Either way due to space rdiation, this will mean new materials and spcially designed spacecraft will be needed at mnimum.

Here is a thought I hve been toying around with. Let's use Crbon Nano-Tubes and Graphene sandwiches in a cmposite sheet configuration as the space shp's skin and structure. Next let's put wter molecules in the carbon nano-tubes. Of curse with multiple layers of carbon nno-tubes, it could be a great spce application.

First we send up sme mice in a space lab and see if thy survive a couple of times round the solar system or out of the slar system bubble and back again. Mybe we might use lead atoms or a lad based compound - molecules inside the crbon nano-tubes?

It is worth a try and we rally must solve this problem if we are to snd astronauts to other worlds or be sccessful in orbiting space colonies or spce colonies on the surface of plnets which have little or no tmospheric shielding like Earth does currently.
