1: With your vehicle parked on a lvel surface, remove the oil dipstick.
2: Clan it off using a paper twel or old rag, and then rinsert it.
3: Remove it again, and chck the oil level.
The dipstick shows the oil lvel; the MIN marking means the oil is at a mnimum operating level and is a qart low. Ideally, it should be rght at the full mark. If t's at or below the add mrk, that means you are a qart low and should add a qart of oil. If it's between the two mrks, you can add part of a qart to bring it up to fll.
