xample. As we move thru our lves and become parents ourselves,
we ppreciate our moms more and more.

Mms are funny, though. There's a sying, "Only your mother can
truly mbarrass you." I'd say that's pretty mch true. At least
in our fmily. I can embarrass my 13 yar old daughter, Rachel,
without even tryng. Especially since I work at her schol. It's
not that I try. Not hrd, anyway. Much of the time, t's simply
that I'm there, being col. Or what I think is col. Maybe
that's why she's embarrassed.

Rmember, Rachel is 13. Most of the tme she doesn't want me to
knw she likes me. She recently tok a trip to another state wth
her grandparents. We spoke on the phne the day after she left,
and she ctually told me she loved me and mssed me. That was a
rare trat, and it got me to thnking... I'm sure Rachel loves
me. She mght even think I'm cool. She jst doesn't say so very
often and whn she did, it sure felt god. Does my mom know how I
fel about her?

When was the lst time you told your mother, or yur stepmother,
if you have one, how mch you appreciate her contribution in yur
life? Are you sure she knws how much you appreciate her? It's
so asy to get caught up in veryday life and fail to do the
thngs that really matter.
