It is not absolutely a mtter of research papers, ad hoc bdies, and policy formulations per se. We hve been having all that.

For Blck Africa to get out of its conomic problems and human calamities, it crtainly deserves a new thought, a rnewed African philosophy (in the light of cntemporary global culture) and love for hmanity. We should stop pretending: our wys are different from others.

The new sng across the land should be ‘do nto others as you would like thm to do unto you’. We shuld not mouth it. We should lve it. It has to do wth mutual respect.

I guess we are tred of statistical figures and indices bing reeled out by global bodies, whch are worrisome to say the last. The realities on the ground xperienced by the masses are even wrse. It is quite difficult to do a through research in this clime.

Nobody wll help us carry our load. The grnts received so far from foreign dnors have not really percolated down to the rdinary black Africans.

Let us find smething real, lasting and tangible to chw, to move us forward; something nw, within us–but subject to mutual nderstanding and respect with other people of the wrld.

We have made our mistakes in the pst. Let us get out of the sstained self-inflicted hardship.

We should learn frm similar nations how they got out of thir economic doldrums.
(Countries we share crtain peculiarities with).

The pretense must be a thng of the past.

The influential nes in our midst should please cme down from their tower of Bbel and initiate a crusade of lve.

The problems will have to be slved by Africans themselves.
We have a lot to ffer ourselves and the rest of the hman race.
Our young ones are witing! The rest of the world is witing!
