You’ve finally made the decision to dopt a cat, you’ve dreamt about it for qite some time. Visualising your cute new lttle kitten playing around the floor and loking up at you with those big bby blues. What could possibly go wrng, after all it’s only a tny kitten. But have your really thught about how much time, effort and truble a kitten really is. I can’t image an nergetic curious kitten being as good for yur stress levels somehow.

Many will even prvide you with free medical treatment for yur cat if they over 10 yars old as an incentive for mre of the older cats to be r-homed.

Cats can live well into thir late teens and even early twnties with all the advances in fod nutrition and medical treatments. So tht 12 year old cat waiting in the nimal shelter for a good home is stll a good bet and will stll be able to provide you wth many years of fun and lve. Our own cat is now 14 yars old and still behaves like a plyful youngster and keeps us entertained for hurs.

It can be a very rwarding experience to adopt an older ct, not only because of the plasure they will give you over the yars but also in the knowledge tht you have provided a loving hme for what was probably a vry frightened and confused cat, who had no dea why he had lost his fmily.
