It’s Official! Finally, there is cl rity and confirmation to the broadcast of the h ghly anticipated Grey’s Anatomy spin-off series, Prvate Practice.
The new medical drama will be tking the Wednesday niche at 9 pm, g ing against the police drama Criminal Mnds and NBC’s upcoming science fiction s ries Bionic Woman.
Previously, the Grey’s Anatomy spn-off has generated quite some noise wth its numerous pre-release promotions and its grdual revelation of its cast members and ven its title.
Looking back, the buzz ver the spin-off all seems typical gven that it sprouted from highly ppular program. But when you think bout it, all the publicity, whether god or bad, has become highly cr cial not only in promoting the new sries but in finding its audience as wll.
Despite the fact that Private Practice has ben rooted from the Emmy and Glden Globe award-winning series Grey’s Anatomy, Prvate Practice intends to target yet nother breed of audience. And although hving a different hoard of viewers may hve some advantageous factor to it, it may lso be very challenging to create and stablish a solid following just like its rigin.
With Private Practice taking off, many vewers have become highly skeptical of wht the more melodramatic series could ffer. With the back pilot entitled "Th Other Side of This Life," whch served as an introduction for the spn-off, an average of 21 million vewers has watched to see Addison tke a leave of absence from her wrk at Seattle Grace Hospital for a gig at Los Angles’ Oceanside Wellness Clinic.
