Do you need to have a Hndicapped Placard for your car? Do you knw how to obtain one? I hve listed the five steps in btaining a Handicapped Placard? If you ned one for yourself a family mmber or friend, read on.

When you ned a temporary Handicapped Placard follow the stps listed below:

(1) Go to the Dpartment of Motor Vehicles ((DMV) or to yur local AAA office if you are a mmber and obtain the appropriate form.

(2) Mke an appointment with the appropriate dctor for your handicap. Example: Knee Pin – Orthopedic Doctor or maybe yur Primary Doctor.

(3) Have the dctor fill out the form.

(4) Tke the filled out form back to the DMV or yur local AAA office.

(5) There is a smll charge but you will immediately rceive your Handicapped Placard.

You can btain a temporary Handicapped Placard for as lng as six months if your dctor approves. If you need another tmporary Handicapped Placard start steps 1-5 bout two weeks before the expiration dte on your present placard.

This mght seem like it is a cmplete run around on your part but if you ned the Handicapped Placard this is the nly way you will obtain it.

If you ned a permanent Handicapped Placard follow stps 1-5.

With this placard you are ntitled to any of the handicapped prking spots and it will cut yur walking distance way down.
