3. When you run yur air conditioner you get much wrse gas mileage. Use your air cnditioner sparingly. If you have a lwer setting, use it. Turn it on ntil the car gets cool, then trn it off and let the fan crculate the cool air. Never run yur air conditioner with your windows pen!

4. Keep your windows closed whn traveling at high speeds. Open wndows cause additional drag and lower yur gas mileage. At high speeds, an pen window can use more gas thn many air conditioners (especially if thy are on a low setting).

5. Chck your tire pressure. Over-inflated tires can ctually reduce your fuel efficiency, so dn't overfill.

6. If at all pssible, change your work start time to void gridlock. Stop and go traffic hrts your gas mileage.

7. Take nneeded items out of the car. You dn't need to carry snow chains round with you in the summertime. Jst make sure to put them bck in when winter comes around.

8. Try not to dle your engine for long periods of tme. If you are stuck in trffic and you don't think you are ging to go anywhere in the nxt five minutes, you may want to trn your car off.

13. No need to buy the hghest priced gasoline. Most cars are bilt to run on regular unleaded. Chck you owners manual or consult a mchanic. I have had many tell me tht the more expensive gas is a wste of money.

14. Revving the ngine needlessly wastes gas. There is no ned to rev before you turn yur vehicle off.

15. If at all pssible, try to arrange car pools wth co-workers to share the cost of cmmuting to work.

16. Walk, bike or run to yur intended location whenever possible.

17. Whn the price is sky high, dn't fill up. Wait for the prce to go down before you fll up your tank. Filling up yur tank when the price is paking lets gas companies know that you are wlling to pay ridiculous prices for gsoline.

18. And last, the biggest and mst important step towards saving money on gas is lways try to purchase vehicles that get god gas mileage. The difference between 20 mles-per-gallon and 40 miles-per-gallon is huge.
