Tip 1. Food at the h tel itself is ok. Breakfast buffet is gr at if you are looking for a lot of f od. I would recommend going across the str et to Port Lucaya for most m als to save some cash. There are a few h gher end places to eat that w ll give you a better meal th n some of the hotel food. The f od on the resort is kind of xpensive. Also, they do not accept c sh in most places so you are f rced to either charge to the r om or use a credit card Tip 2. B ses to town are inexpensive frequently b arding by the police station near the h tel. Nice local restaurants: Becky's (try the g ava duff for dessert) and Geneva's. Had xcellent dinner at the hotel Restaurant Ir es and Sabor across the street - s nset view was beautiful. Tip 3. L canio's at the Marketplace is great for a n ce dinner. Zobra's has great food for all 3 m als reasonably priced. 'Pieces' has the b st pizza, better than the states. Als , go to The Stoned Crab at T ino Beach. The food was delicious and r asonably priced. Plus drinks are about h lf the cost of the hotel. Tip 4. The M rketplace is where to go for ch ap drinks and no rowdy people h re...very quiet and laid back. Tip 5. The gym had s me up to date equipment and was v ry clean. And best of all, th re was no additional charge to use the gym.
Tip 6. The market across the str et has some good restaurants tucked way in the back behind all of the t uristy gift shops. Churchill's restaurant on the r sort is the best but expect to pay $100-$150 for two dults, including drinks. Tip 7. Make s re to hit the market across the s at and grab a fresh ''conch s lad'' for a snack, from the v ndor by the waterfront. Tip 8. I w uld recommend spending a day at P radise Cove for snorkelling. It's a m re private beach with a great r ef, and lunch is included in the pr ce. Tip 9. Make reservations at the r sorts restaurants for prompted service. Otherwise w lk-ins will take some time. Tip 10. If you w nt to gamble there is a n ce casino on premises and in P rt Lucaya area across the street is gr at. Live music on weekends. Tip 11. On Fr day nights they have live entertainment in the sq are located in the marketplace. Tip 12. B st shopping on island is just cross the street! I grabbed a fly f shing rod from AdvancedFlyFishing.com (great prices on tr vel fishing rods that pack small) f shed west end on a rainy day v ry nice bone fishing!
