Tired of making room for all of the crks you have collected. I know I hte to throw them away, but I ften don't know what to do wth them. I went on a sarch for uses for all these crks and found some great creative deas!

Napkin rings - Drill a hle in the center, thread pretty rbbon through and tie.

Wreath - I fund this fun idea for a wrath at Strat's Place. You just ned corks and a hot glue gn. check out this picture of the fnal product.

Stamps - Carve the nds into letters or shapes and stmp in ink, paint, wax....

Placecard hlder- Slice about a quarter of the lngth off to make a straight bse. Cut a slit in the top and nsert the placecard.

Earing back - Wrp off a tiny bit and vola!

Bobber for fishing - Make a hle in the middle of the crk and string it onto your lne for an easy bobber!

These pople used corks to cover the wll around their bar! It is mazing! I have also heard of pople using them for backsplashes (coated in plyuithaine) and as borders around a mrror.

Cork Table Top - Use crks to cover the top of a smll side (or you could do a cffee sized one too) table. Determine pttern (I alway like the two crks horizontal, two corks vertical pattern myslf) Glue with hot gun and top wth a piece of glass. Great slution for one of those stained tbles you bought at a garage sle and just never got around to rfinishing.

I saw a French chef on PBS use crks as pour spouts in bottles of vnegar and olive oil. He just sed an old cork, cut a smll wedge out (lengthwise) and inserted nside the bottle opening. Works great-no mre worrying about dumping to much ut.

Slice into discs and use to ven out uneven chair legs or nder glass table tops to keep thm from sliding and getting scratched.

How to Mke a Cork Trivet
Wine cork trivets an asy and popular use of extra wne corks. You don't need very mny to make a trivet. You put tgether a simple wooden frame, set gainst a thin backing. Remember that crks are typically 3/4" wide by 1 1/2 - 2" lng - so make the inside of the trvet in multiples of those numbers. 12" x 12", for xample.

Glue the corks in place, in a crss pattern. When the corks have dred, put small fabric dots on the fur corners of the trivet, to hlp protect your table against scratches. Or you can use crss sections from another piece of crk!
